Melanie Wright Equine Artists

Melanie has a well deserved and established reputation for her representation of equine and equestrian subjects.

Much of her equestrian work focuses on racing and polo events and conveys a strong sense of occasion. Informed by Melanie's intimate knowledge of her subject, they capture an authentic sense of the horses' conformation, vitality and spirit and reveal the unique dynamic between horse and rider.

Melanie is well known for her depiction of racing life, a longstanding source inspiration. She is often seen sketching at local point to point and race meetings, and at the polo at Cirencester Park.

In 2014/15 Melanie is presented by AIR as Artist in Residence at Charlie Longsdon Racing, in Oxfordshire.

Melanie accepts commissions for equestrian work and equine portraits. A small number of limited edition prints of her equestrian work are occasionally made available, and she has recently launched a range of cards.
